How we staff our service? There is always a minimum of two paid support staff on duty at all times, 24 hours per day, every day of the year.We also have 70 volunteers who work shifts doing a range of jobs including cooking, befriending, and staffing the reception desk. |
Homeless HostelMary Cole HouseMary Cole House (named after one of the founding members) is a purpose built, direct access homeless hostel which opened in 2001.It is located in Sandford Street, near Hamilton Square, Birkenhead and is a short walk from Hamilton Square Station, the Town Centre and the Bus station. Men are accommodated in 21 individual bedrooms and women have their own section of the hostel, the Barclay Suite, which has 4 bedrooms, a bathroom and small kitchenette. There is a comfortable communal lounge, dining room, and outdoor smoking area (the hostel is completely non-smoking). Staff are on duty 24 hours a day so there are offices and staff areas within the building. |
