Dear Supporters,
Well, Christmas has come and gone, and all staff and volunteers worked very hard to ensure our residents in both projects had the best Christmas we could make. For many in our care, Christmas Day has generally been much like any other, the same daily grind of trying to survive on the streets. It is both wonderful; and humbling to see people all sat round a table, tucking into the traditional meal, pulling crackers and opening presents; a scene far removed for many from where they had come from. We owe huge thanks to all organisations and individuals who donated food and presents to us; your generosity made all the difference.
The Open Day in November was a great success, seeing over 120 people coming in to have a look round and a chat. We are very keen to tell people what we do and how we do it, so if anyone would like to visit, either individually or as a group, or have a speaker for their organisation, then please use the contact form on this web site, phone us, or write and we will reply as soon as possible.
Plans for the extension are gathering momentum. We now have planning permission and are next putting out to tender. It is an exciting time for us, and hopefully by the time of the spring newsletter we shall have something positive to report.
We continue to be busy; our beds are sadly never empty long, and with the current economic crisis we feel the position can only be exacerbated.
As always, grateful thanks to all our supporters for all the help they give us, we feel truly blessed by each and every one.
Sincerely,
Anne O'Marah Chief Executive
