Wirral Ark Dinghies

Improving dinghies - Improving lives

Wirral Ark Project Dinghies Wirral Ark Dinghies (WAD) is a 'business' run by Wirral Churches' Ark Project, the well known homeless hostel operators. Residents take part in practical 'work' renovating wooden sailing dinghies, which are then sold finance the scheme. At all times we have boats for sale and mirror dinghy spares.

This work creates a good routine, teaches practical skills, and improves the self confidence of residents. Wirral Ark Dinghies operates from an industrial unit (thanks to Wirral Council).

Wirral Ark Dinghies - Renovation Process

WAD needs sailing dinghies, volunteers to help with the scheme, and financial support. The industrial unit where the boat renovation work is done is located at Unit 2, 425 Corporation Road, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH41 8FA.
