This is an important month for the Wirral Ark football team that have only lost 1 in the last 20 games.

However, with the Phoenix only 7 points behind and only 8 games left in the season, the team have to work hard for tomorrow’s tournament. Without our captain, it will be difficult but am sure that the boys can come away league champions.

Super sub Pete bagged a goal once again and Glen who has played well all season with his passing ability giving Anthony space to score 70 plus goals all season. Also with Darren, George and Scott keeping the defence tight which meant that Dennis and Steve could play in midfield.

It was a tough day of football only needing to win 3 games and a draw to win the league but coming out on top by winning are first 3 games only to face Phoenix in the last game of the day which the lads bagged 5 goals pass them with Scott scoring the first goal from near the halfway line which set the lads on a scoring spree.

The Wirral Ark is the 3rd Division league champions! After an epic day of football the team played amazing throughout the day only conceding 3 goals and scoring 25.We are now looking to win the double with the cup coming up in May.

Who would have thought that we would be crowned champions with 4 games left to play? Congratulations to Anthony McGee on becoming the top goal scorer and to all the lads who stuck by one another.
